Education
Ever since 2016, I have been passionate about the hair industry, perfecting my craft, and educating others with all that I’ve learned along the way. Through my schooling at Swofford Career Center and the countless hours of professional development since obtaining my cosmetology license, I have realized the great need for hands-on and virtual, personal education for artists in this industry. Therefore, I’ve curated a variety of classes that target specific aspects of growing your business and honing your craft behind the chair. I hope you enjoy these classes as much as I’ve enjoyed creating and teaching them.
Being behind the chair so young and coming out with no clientele I had no choice but to promote myself and try to get people in my chair. I felt very unprepared my first several months behind the chair and then it dawned on me the massive need for education in this industry.
I have traveled to several schools within my county educating the cosmetology students on several topics I felt would prepare them for their first year in this industry. After 5 years of educating and building my following, I decided to offer my education services to other fellow hairstylists all around the world.
Meeting all of you and seeing the impact I am having on the beauty industry is what fuels my fire. I can assure you I see every single message, comment, and post. There is nothing more rewarding to me than to see my education having such a positive impact on your income. I plan on offering more online education accessible to all of you who can not make in person classes. You can find all class information at the bottom of this page.
I want to thank all of you who invest in my education and know how much I appreciate your investment. My goal with having education accessible to all hairstylists is to make an impact on you that will last a life time.
I'm not after all the money in the world, however, I am after a livable wage and I want to teach you how you can make that possible as well.

"The Works was all we expected and more. Carson’s knowledge and perspective on business were something I, as a salon owner, really needed to hear. She offered a wealth of knowledge in ways to expand your clientele, manage your finances & how to give the most seamless balayage ever. The stylists who attended her class have since grown their target clientele and put more money in their pockets. The Works was a well-thought-out and professional class you won’t regret signing up for."

"Let me just rave about Carson real quick! I attended her “The Works” class back in January and had the most amazing experience! It was super in-depth in terms of placement, toning recommendations, behind the scenes tips, and business management. Also the vibes were immaculate! The Carson you see online is the Carson you get in person which i truly appreciate! I can’t recommend Carson’s class enough! If you are the SC area you should definitely look into all the various classes she offers(I definitely will be back for more)! Also my clients have been loving the longevity the get with this placement! Definitely a new staple for me behind the chair!"

"THE WORKS! Let’s talk about it!! It was ONE of the BEST classes I’ve ever taken, and I mean that wholeheartedly! Carson really dove deep into her color placement (which is top-notch if you were wondering - I use that color placement daily, and my clients are obsessed with the results) while also digging deep into the business side of things; talk about eye-opening there!! Just the business part of the class itself was worth it! It’s definitely a class everyone should have the opportunity to take, and if you have the chance, TAKE IT because I promise it is worth it!"

"I took the Business of Balayage class where Carson (Ctay_hair) & Allison (Unorthodox Stylist) both worked on models simultaneously, sharing modern blonding techniques and formulas along the way. It was a close, intimate, wonderful experience, different from the crowded classroom that we are all used to. I felt like us students were allowed to chime in whenever a question arose. This was a refreshing approach as our questions were encouraged. Next came the business segment of the class. This was amazing because business is the least discussed aspect of doing hair. It is so important! There is so much more to doing hair than mixing up color. These ladies discussed pricing structure, running salon numbers, insurance, the importance of having a financial advisor, retirement plans, etc. Cheers to these ladies for coming up with this innovative class. Way to elevate our industry!"
I will be on the lookout for more classes from these two!
